The new Guangdong Museum of Art is located in the east of the Baietan Greater Bay Area Art Center. It has 11 floors above ground, a construction area of 65,000 square meters, 21 exhibition halls and a vast public art area. The new Guangdong Museum of Art was officially opened to the public on May 1, 2024, focusing on the research of the development ecology of Chinese contemporary art and international contemporary art, and promoting the protection and restoration of artworks in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and South China.

Guangdong is at the forefront of reform and opening up, as well as the forefront of artistic innovation and development. With its open attitude and vitality, it provides a broad soil for the creation of contemporary art. This exhibition attempts to include domestic urban agglomerations with Beijing and Shanghai as the core into a comparative framework, and expands to Southeast Asia, Asia, and Western art fields with oriental elements, hoping to explore the diversity of the southern cultural and artistic network and the outline of cross-border exchanges and connections in mutual reflection.

They run through ancient and modern times, China and the West from various perspectives, breaking the original relatively rigid global vision and allowing the audience to feel the magnificent history of Chinese and Western art from the perspective of fine arts.
