Shandong Museum (formerly known as Shandong Provincial Museum) was established in 1954. It is the first provincial comprehensive geographical museum after the founding of the People's Republic of China, and a national first-class museum. It has more than 400,000 pieces/sets of collections and 23 exhibition halls, among which the collections of pottery, bronzes, oracle bones, Han Dynasty stone reliefs, Ming Dynasty costumes, and revolutionary relics are particularly rich.

Exhibition of Shandong History and Culture

The exhibition has established the concept of "highlighting the charm of Qilu culture, displaying the development process of Shandong civilization, highlighting the characteristics of the collection of cultural relics, and reflecting the latest academic research results". The exhibition area is 5,000 square meters, with more than 2,000 cultural relics on display, divided into five parts: "Prehistoric Period", "Shang and Zhou Period", "Qin, Han, Sui and Tang", "Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing", and "Modern and Contemporary".
